All that remains of the woodshed is he metal roofing. A two-year supply of firewood went up in smoke.

The roof of the generator shed burned, but the main structure survived. It was designed by George Milne to be fireproof from the inside out, in case a generator caught fire. It turns out it was also fire proof in reverse!

Plastic jugs never got hot enough to melt and the wiring and tubing on the generator is still flexible.
Nesika Lodge is located on the rim of the Columbia River gorge and surrounded by the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. This stone and log structure was built by members of the Trails Club of Oregon.
